Swine Flu Preparations

Administration at Barton Creek is aware of the situation involving the swine flu epidemic and wants to assure you that as a facility, we are prepared to prevent and control the spread of infection in our building. Over the course of the past year we have received flu-specific training in which we have prepared a series of actions we intend to take as potential pandemics approach our vicinity. Some steps involve our staff and residents directly while others apply to families and friends. Currently we are requesting your compliance with the following procedure:
In order to protect the health and well-being of our residents, please do not enter the building if you or anyone in your household have the following symptoms:
  • Fever
  • Sore throat and cough
  • Nausea, vomiting or diarrhea
  • Nasal Congestion
  • Muscle and joint aches
You may visit again if your symptoms are gone AND it has been at least 7 days since the onset of symptoms.
We wish to emphasize that while we do not specifically fear our facility is in immediate danger we do believe that preparedness and prevention is the very best approach to this situation. If you have questions concerning our policies and procedures please feel free to contact the front desk. You can also expect to receive frequent updates on this blog. Thank you for respecting our residents and our requests.
